A servo-hydraulic testing machine is used to control the axial load. The specimen is placed in a high-pressure loading cell surrounded by fluid. The specimens are cylindrical in shape with a diameter of 30.0 mm and length of 60.0 mm, precompacted to 10 MPa. The loading of the specimens is controlled independently in the radial and axial direction. The loading path corresponds to the conventional triaxial compression test with a pressure range up to 200 MPa. The material properties for simulation of powder are given in Box 9.3.
